Orders that are made to order, Ship after there Made by Hand per your Color, Size and stile. First in first out. Sewing is dun on one or two days out of 30 and my take time. Kits go out weekly as do in stock items like Tee Shirts, Risen Guns, Flags and patches. Mostly 1-2 weeks to process an order.
The order page adds US shipping. Over seas Order will cost more. We will let you know how much.
Add Insurance if you want it. If you do not add Insurance there is no Insurance.
Shipping will be add to all orders.
READ ME We charge your card the with in 2-3 days of the order. We add you the the list of orders the we have, Make your order as it comes up. Then ship it. Most orders will take 2-3 week some longer. DO NOT Order the week befor Little Robbie's B-Day and think you are going to get it. If you need an Item, any item for an event or con let us know. We may low or out of stock the weeks leading up to a movie release or Dragon Con.
Why no PO Boxes?
We do not trust that you will get your order if it is sent to a P.O. Box
It's all about accountability, reliability and efficiency.
The post office loses 3-5% of the packages we give them. And, of those that don't go MIA, many take a month or more to resurface despite the "priority" claims. This has led to many squeals of "you frauds never shipped my order", which, especially with Pay Pal, means we end up giving out free stuff. As for insurance, the post wants us to PROVE that it's really lost and you can imagine how that goes. Plus, the stolen credit card groups loves the anonymity of PO Boxes.
USPS has DELIVERY CONFIRMATION numbers which does not really track the item, it is just pick up and delivery to any US address. If a package is overdue or lost, it will tell you when it was shipped.
The post has PRIORITY and NEXT DAY to help you with that if it in stock. Most of our armor is made to order within 5 to 10 days, except sometimes for full kits may take up to 2 to 3 weeks or longer, PRIORITY and NEXT DAY will not help so much.
Most orders are shipped the 1 to 10 days after they are paid for. Our policies are due to 20+ years experience and in the interest of being efficient and reliable.
Delivery options for the
UNITED STATES (including APO and FPO)
1. All domestic US orders are shipped via USPS. (We do not ship to P.O. Boxes).
We absolutely, positively do not offer Fed Ex, UPS, DHL, Pony Express or any service other than USPS for Continental-US orders.
2. PRIORITY, AIR and NEXT DAY are available at additional cost.
3. Orders to Hawaii and Alaska are required to ship AIR and take
longer
4. APO/FPO orders are shipped US Post.
5. If you have a particular deadline please be sure that we are aware of it. We do not like them and my not make them. We go as fast as we can.
6. We put delivery confirmations on all US shipping.
7. You NEED to get Insurance. Go to the end of the LIST. This is for
shipping DAMAGE for the accrual listed price of the items. It is for USPS
Insurance. It is payed to them and is up to them to PAY you. See

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

All international packages are shipped via US Post Global Express Mail, unless UPS International is requested. Most packages up to 10 pounds (4.5 kg) cost $40-60 with Global Express Mail while UPS is nearly double that. Westerfield Studios also charges a $5.00 handling fee for international orders due to the added time required for processing. We will not use the cheaper services (Global Priority and Surface) due to a lack of tracking numbers. It has proven too tempting for fraud in the past. EMS keeps everybody honest.
1. Delivery Time: Please allow at least 1-2 weeks from the time of your shipping date until you receive it. Orders will not be shipped until payment is received.
2. Payment: We do NOT accept bank wire-transfers, Western Union wires, etc. of any kind, period. Only the Visa, Master card and pay pal NO THIRD PARTY PURCHASES*
US funds only.
*Several people have requested that we allow "a friend" pay for their order, for a number of reasons. No more of this nonsense. Orders will only be shipped to the person who paid for them. If you don't have a credit card or a bank account, the post office will be glad to do money orders. There is no legitimate excuse for this silliness.
3. Duties and Taxes: The customer is responsible for paying any and all customs duties, fees or tariffs charged by their country.
We DO NOT pay your customs duties.
If you don't like this concept, then DO NOT order from us.
We will not falsify or understate the value of a package on customs forms.
4. Fees: We charge a $5.00 processing fee in addition to normal shipping and handling costs on all international orders. This is due to the increased time required due to the paperwork, and having to carry the packages to the post office, stand in line then fill out more forms.
5. Missing Packages: We have had a few of these, despite the insurance on shipping. If you do not receive your package within 3 weeks of our actual ship date, please contact us. We will get the info for you to submit to your post office for insurance claims If you got the added insurance.
6. Refused Packages: If the customer refuses to pick up a package from their post office or customs service, we will not refund the shipping charges. Additionally, you will be charged for any return shipping from your country incurred by us. Several customers, especially the Belgians and Italians, are apparently unhappy with the duties their customs office demands. That is NOT our problem. Likewise, if we are requested to reship the refused package, you will end up paying shipping again. This is NOT negotiable or debatable. Habitually troublesome customers will be cut off and will not accept your orders.
7. Returns: On international orders, please contact us before you send an item back to us.
8. Credit Card Fraud: Due to rampant fraud, credit card payment will NOT be accepted for orders from the following countries:

6. Czech Republic
7. Romania
8. Indonesia
We now NEED a copy of all overseas cards.
90 -100% of credit card orders we have received from these countries were paid for using stolen credit cards. If you're among the honest minority, sorry. Get your law enforcement people on the ball and we'll talk. We will automatically delete (trash) any orders from these countries unless they are paid for via international money order, Pay pal or cash.
No, we will not send you our bank account information for reasons that should be obvious.

About Westerfield Studios: In business in some sense of the word since 1980, located on the Gulf Cost of Florida, we specialize in armor and we sell uniforms and gear from Roman to Star Wars and Halo type games. Although most of our products are reproductions, we have some original items and maintain a small collection of authentic pieces for our reference. Since 2002, we have had our own plastic forming production line. Our production area is a hole in the back of the shop. Our customers are primarily fantasy fan clubs, but also include collectors, museums, film companies, some random weirdoes, sci-fi ethuthiasts and comic book reference artists too. Most of our business is done via mail order and we ship an average of 10 to 25 packages each day, worldwide.
SOP: Our standard operating procedure is simple.
1. We strive to provide the best quality products available at a reasonable price.
2. Orders are shipped ASAP (usually same week but could take up to 4 weeks depending on the order) Remember: We put the kit together when it is ordered/paid for. They ship after that. You order we put it together and ship it.
3. If we don't have it, or have a place to get it, we won't take your money. Period.
